every year as it gets colder i start to wish i was one of those people who knew how to knit scarves by the fire. sadly my only foray into knitting was briefly joining a group in williamsburg that would knit while watching america’s next top model. i mostly went for the top model (tyra mail!) and snacks and eventually ended up leaving because somewhere between knit one and purl two i’d get off track and lose my motivation. so rather than force a skill i just don’t have i think i’ll pick up these cute knitting craft series cards from palindrome press. you can pick up a set of four letterpressed cards right here for $15.
[speaking of letterpress, jenny at also was able to transfer over the entire letterpress guide to the new site, which you can now easily search by city, state and type of letterpress. much cleaner and neater than before. click here to check it out]

You should try crocheting. I can’t knit either, but I found crocheting really easy, maybe it’s something to do with dealing with only one stick ;)
Knitting while watching top model! Oh man, I so couldn’t do that either. I’d get too wrapped up in the show and loose track as well. Too bad you aren’t in Chicago to join the Top Model drinking game my friends and I do while watching the show. :)
The new letterpress guide looks great, but I don’t think it brings up everyone in a particular category when you search – am I doing something wrong?

you just need to click “previous” entries at the bottom of the page if a city/state has too much for one page. it’s at the bottom under the last post.
if you feel like a particular listing is missing just let me know and i’ll double check it :)
