I’m sneaking Megan Park in and claiming her as an Aussie even though this extremely successful designer has lived in London for more than 12 years her roots began here in Melbourne. Working as a textile designer for a London agency whose clients include the likes of Dries Van Noten, Givenchy & Kenzo gave Park the shoe in the door she needed to launch her own label in 1997 which began as a collection of beautiful beaded evening bags and scarves. Today her range has expanded into women’s clothing, children’s clothing and most notably, in my opinion, a devine collection of hand beaded, hand embroidered and hand printed cushions and throws.
