in addition to new columns i’ll be introducing tomorrow and friday i’ll be covering some of the most promising artists showing at the origins craft fair in london this week. i wish i could attend the show but thankfully many of the artists have incredible galleries of their work online.

one of my favorite artists showing is notts, england based artist magie hollingworth. when i found her beautiful paper pieces i sat, dumbfounded, staring at the computer with my mouth open. magie recycles paper waste by pulping disregarded material and producing her line of contemporary vessels and sculptures. by limiting the color palette she uses, magie chooses to focus on shape and surface quality rather than colot (though i’d argue that her color choices are often as interesting as the forms themselves). you can view more of magie’s work right here or hit “more” below to view additional photos of her stunning work [i have to run out for a quick meeting but i'll be back at 11- until then be sure to check out desire to inspire's guest blog!]

Grace, I just wanted to say the new site design looks great!
These groupings are so lovely. They make me want to go home, make paper pulp and cover everything! I especially like the vintage spoons. Great find, thank you!
Adore this work! My daughter just introduced me to desire to inspire!
LOVE, love your new site design!!
