Those of you that live in Ny, or if you happen to be visiting before Jan, 27 2008 , you have the awesome opportunity to go see “Provoking Magic: Lighting of Ingo Maurer” at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. Since 1966 , Ingo Maurer has created more than 150 different lights and lighting systems. Mauer uses unexpected materials and found objects in his work to create luminous atmospheres and fine art lights that are on display from now until the end of Janurary. I wish I could go!

I love that tweety bird light. This studio really has been one of the few succesful designers to merge fine art and industrial design!
