after hearing about my lace hunt, amy ruppel sent over a link to ikea’s billy bookshelf ($59.99). their classic design has been updated with a lovely black and white lace print that was too cute to ignore. i thought it looked beautiful next to these metallic accessories from vivre i’m digging right now: silver walnuts ($90), brass twig bowl ($95), golden gourds ($25), crocodile s+p shakers ($195), serpent tray ($195).

Oh! I think you would love some of the metallic objects at Detroit Garden Works, too! There are some lovely silver or bronze birds nests in an assortment of sizes, as well as really cute knit wire animal sculptures by an English artist – Sarah Jane Brown. Please take a look at the Seasonal & Ornament sections on the website – I think you’ll enjoy!
You know, a can of gold or silver spray paint and some walnuts and plastic fruit would garnish much the same results. And way less expensivly at that. Just don’t eat it.
