sometimes the right fabric really can make or break a room. i’m still feeling black and white right now (stripes preferrably) and i’m loving this manzanita print at contemporary cloth. it reminds me of the dress that daniel vosovic made for the nikki hilton dress challenge on project runway. poor daniel v, even though he wasn’t my favorite (go santino!) i felt like he should have won over chloe.
anyway, back to textiles. contemporary cloth has kindly offered d*s readers a 10% discount on fabrics from the store so for the next week, if you’re shopping at contemporary cloth just enter “Design Sponge 10-07″ in the comment section when you check out for the 10% discount (not the coupon box).

I love this pattern! I picked some up from purl (in brown and white) when I was in New York a few weekends ago.

Naked & Angry has that scaled black print in wallpaper form! Check it out here:

Katie (or anyone else who knows), since you have this fabric on hand, I’m wondering… do you think it’s heavy enough for light upholstery? I need to have some simple square cushions made for a pair of chairs (they won’t be stretched/stapled, just loose seat and back cushions), and I love this fabric but am unsure about the weight. (No time to order a swatch if I want to take advantage of this great discount!)
Hi Anna,
I’ll cross post this answer over on both blogs just in case and for anyone else who is interested.
The fabric I have is about mid-weight, definitely not thick upholstery fabric, but not paper thin. It is somewhere in-between. I think it could work for what you are looking to do. Hope that helps! Good luck and I can’t wait to see what you do with it. It’s a fantastic pattern.
Nice fabrics but the code doesn’t seem to work. :-(
