i was building a teapot guide (coming tomorrow) this weekend and spent some time on the bodo sperlein looking at their beautiful porcelain collection (and new site). after clicking through their better-known pieces i stumbled upon these beautiful artisan wood framed mirrors. i was struck by the way that they combine thick natural wood frames with chunky gem detailing. the mirrors are made-to-order so these pieces are just examples, but you can contact bodo sperlein right here if you’re interested in having one made. they’d certainly make a strong statement in any room.

These are so beautiful.
those are really really lovely!
i also love when raw wood mixes with more refined materials.
These are so cool! Very cabin chic! I’m curious about their price.
I’m sure they’re not cheap though, because I went to their website and a particularly cool light fixture was about 3 grand. (1500 pounds)
These are absolutely gorgeous! I find the one on the left a bit more sculptural and unusual, but the one on the right will probably sell more easily. In any event, I love the juxtaposition of the raw wood, the smooth mirror, and the sparkling gems. Beautiful!
