copenhagen bookstore

designer susan cerra at the kitchen designer sent over these beautiful photos of a modern bookstore in copenhagen denmark. i love the bold artwork on the walls, the throws over the reading chairs and the way the pendant lamps hang down low to light books on the table. looks like a nice place to relax with a cup of tea and read.

what is the name of this lovely store? and where in copenhagen is it located?

It is one block past Store Kogensgade, at the start of Kongens Nytorv. Walk on Gothersgade, make a right on to Borgergade, and it is at the end of the first block. Here is the link: It is a wonderful store!

The black interior is amazing – who would have thought? I love Danish design – I hope I can get there soon :o)

I must be honest, If i found myself lost in this store i would be very happy. The use of black is a big no in most cases because of it’s depth but for the good it makes this room come to life. Warm & snug, Well done. It’s a beautiful space!
