by Grace Bonney

after the rocking chair post a bunch of you emailed to ask what the amy butler fabric would look like on a mid century chair. as luck would have it, d*s reader lori sent in a photo of the green colorway on a lovely vintage chair. so, if you’re curious, here’s a good idea. i think it looks really great. so bright and cheery.

  • Does anyone know of any great fabric websites? I am looking for some modern, elegant yet fun fabric for our living room windows. They are HUGE. 120×84″. I love Hable Construction but there are not any retailers by us.

it depends on what you’re looking for. i tend to like repro depot (reprodepot.com) for affordable fabrics but for windows you may want something a little heavier (sometimes their fabrics are on the thin side). if you send me an email (designsponge@gmail.com) i’m happy to help you find the right shop for your project.
