i have a long standing design-crush on artist david wiseman. for someone so young he’s already produced an extremely impressive body of work and continues to stretch and grow as he designs pieces for private residences as well as established companies. david just sent over photos of his latest project, a collage chandelier made for a private residence in new york. david described it as a “charm necklace turned into a chandelier” and it seems like an accurate description. i’d love to see this in person but in the meantime these photos will have to do. click here for more information on david wiseman and his work. What an amazing work of sculpture. I love the ceiling one on his web site. It’s very lyrical. He has such range as far as materials go.

I really like the idea of this chandelier but it just doesn’t work for me. The central lixture is too different from the rest of the work. It looks like it doesn’t “match.”
SIMPLY AMAZING!!! I have been a fan of D*S for a while and am constantly amazed at the incredible variety of artists that you share with us. Design*Sponge is always a great source of inspiration and new innovations…but this is truly breathtaking. An awe inspiring balance of nature and a new twist on timeless designs. I love it!!
