ny times

thanks to the ny times for the mention in today’s home & garden section. one quick note: 100% of the shop proceeds go directly to the shop designers. the article implies that d*s and apartment therapy are selling merchandise and that that might complicate the voice of our sites. i can’t speak to AT’s policy but i don’t take any cut from my shop’s goods. just wanted to clarify.

Hopefully any press is good press. I hate to see any article even remotely suggesting that designsponge is anything but a wonderful indie-designer-promoting site!

Make sure you let the editor know that. When I did PR for a small start-up company, I discovered that any error, even if it seems minor, will keep coming back. Even if that publication doesn’t print it again, other (lazier) publications will just steal from the original article without bothering to verify anything with you.

I admire you for your free giving spitit. but I still don’t see anything wrong if you decide in the futture to make any profit out of it.

There has to be a way to submit an editorial to the home & garden section. I saw your mention in Glamour this month and your pic is still on Slate. You’re everywhere, girlfriend!

i emailed the author to clarify on your behalf that the sales aren’t profit motivated.
