d*s search

magnifying-glass

ok, it’s not a perfect solution to search but it’s better than nothing. don’t know why i didn’t add this before but i added a google based search button to the left hand side of the site. just type in your answer and 9 times out of 10 you can find what you’re looking for on the d*s. i tested it out with “lighting” “amy ruppel” and a a number of both general and specific posts and found the content i was looking for right away. it’s not perfect, i know, but it’s been long overdue to have some sort of search function on the site. it takes forever to tag all 3,000+ archived posts so i figured this would be a good solution for the time being. hope it helps. xo, d*s

Just a quick note… the blogger bar at the top of the site has a search box and a “search this blog” button. Doesn’t that work?

Great site, by the way!

sadly it doesn’t work very well. when i started a few years ago it seemed to work if you typed in “design sponge” and then the search term but now it can’t seem to find anything on my site. so i figured this might be more helpful ;)

Are you using the google API or something else to create the google search? I’ve been looking for a simple way to seamlessly implement their search into my site and it looks like you’ve found what I’m searching for…. a link would be greeeaaatly appreciated.

something very helpful would be categories. but for now i think it’s just way too tedious.

love your site!

oh man, i agree. if i had the time to go back and categorize i would but right now it’s just too much to tackle on my own. hopefully the search will help if people are looking for specific pieces, artists or even genres right now :)

hi grace!
i am in heaven! i just “switched” to the new blogger version + it makes the “search blog” box on the blogger toolbox search your blog perfectlly + it’s not a google page, it’s vintage design*sponge posts with pictures + it never leaves your blog. you will be so happy! just “switch” on your dashboard. it’s easy + you’ll even be able to have “categories” now too. it’s one of the new features. you just add tags to your posts. i’m soooo happy! please test it on my blog at the top left corner toolbox to see for yourself.
