some weeks i am overwhelmed by the design community at large. just when i think that there must be a lull coming up something like this lands in my inbox and i become reinvigorated about the industry as a whole. i’ve been a big fan of the handmade movement and it’s been exciting to see how people incorporate handmade techniques into their work. last night i got an email from theresa of townsend sakai introducing me to her beautiful handmade stationery line. theresa hand-embroiders patches of material and applies them to simple but beautiful cards (she also sews them onto baby onesies if you’re in the market). she launched her collection with four series: modern, nature, life and seasonal. my personal favorite is the nature collection but each one contains cards that ooze the sort of warmth that can only come from handmade goods. click here to view theresa’s entire collection and find a store near you- cards this beautiful just have to be seen in person.
