Booo! Why a Runway re-run?

I’m so with you D*s. I saw the movie, and I kept telling her “man, I just can’t get over that wall paper; who DOES this?” Her response was “Yeah, I know; Lucy Liu in Red? I mean really…” I don’t understand her. I can’t wait to tell her that I’m on the cutting edge. She’ll probably hand me a band-aid.

I had the same thought when I saw “Lucky Number Slevin.” The production designer was François Séguin, so any curious party might have luck by googling him.

Yes, boo about the Project Runway rerun.

My guess is that because they had 2 people out one week (when keith was being a bad little cheater), they had one fewer person to kick auf before fashion week– so one less week of shows. I was hoping they would remedy the problem with a 2-parter instead of a no-parter.

i didn’t even watch the rerun. They’re on all the time, anyway.

I wish I had known Lucy Liu was in it because I sat across from her at Bond Street in Miami a week ago and could have asked.

ive been looking for that zulu-ish wallpaper from the royal tenenbaums movie…any ideas?

After seeing this movie last week I had 2 thoughts:

1) Most stylish movie I’ve seen in awhile, mostly due to the incredible use of the wallpaper, I thought it really added to the quirkiness of the film.

2) Josh Hartnett is the new Brad Pitt. There, I’ve said it. 10 years ago, this totally would have been a Brad Pitt role.

I was actually quite impressed by one that stood out to me so I tried my best to memorize the pattern to recreate it … it was the wallpaper in the hotel, i believe.

in the DVD commentary wes anderson says it’s based on a ‘place in NYC’, and i had visited it with my cousins a few years before i saw the movie. it is indeed the same wallpaper!

House & anon. are right about Astek (they did Lemony Snicket, among other movies, and will create/ custom-color almost any pattern upon request), but I talked to them and they didn’t create papers for this movie. They did suggest it might have come from SecondHand Rose and was an authentic vintage roll.

I saw the movie some days ago… it is just like reading “Elle Decor”. I missed the story because I was just looking at the interior design. Who did it?

i would just die for that wallpaper from the hall in Slevin movie. From the hall in Slevin’s/Nick’s building. I saw it here in Croatia, in a bar, but the owner – doesn’t remember where he got it… great.. so if anybody can help me? I went through all the links you gave here, but haven’t found exactly the same pattern.
