it’s a lovely day here in brooklyn so garden talk has special significance today. i’m cultivating a little team of succulents in our home, so i thought it might be fun to give a nod to my current favorites: cacti. now, if you’re like me and are more of a black than a green thumb, cacti can be right up your alley. i used to think pricky and dry when i heard the word cactus until i was introduced to the world of succulents- colorful, plump and far from dry, these guys are perfect for the modern home. succulents are really easy to care for and have such a nice clean profile that looks lovely in a sleek, modern planter. the photo above are some of mine from home (all the planters are from sprout home and under $32). so if you’re looking to cultivate a city garden that doesn’t require a lot of time, consider succulents! you grow girl has a great cacti resource page and this site will let you order them if you don’t have a good garden center at home! and as always, here are some fun garden finds and links for the week:
