modern wedding registries

okay, not my wedding bells, but tons of you seemed to be gettin’ hitched! i’ve gotten some pleas for a great roundup of wedding registries for those who are design savvy or not looking for your standard macy’s fare. so, here’s the great d*s list of wedding registries for the design minded! if i missed a great store, please add it below! [shout out to my favorite engaged couple- missy and alden!]

this will get my mom off my back ;-)
Thank you!!

May I add a suggestion I just read about and thought was cool? I Do Foundation has gotten places like Target and Amazon to give a small % of gifts purchased from your registry to a charity of your choice. Seemed like a cool idea if anyone was planning on registering with these places anyway!

I used – it’s a great website where you can add items from any website to one combined registry. It helped a bunch since I had a couple things each from a wide variety of stores, including outdoor equipment. They already have an extensive list of vendors they work with, and if yours aren’t on the list, they’ll collect the money when guests “purchase” those items, and send you a check for you to buy them yourself. Then you can link to the site from your wedding webpage (assuming most do these days) and it’s easy for guests around the country to access it. We also did register at Crate & Barrel and Marshall Field’s to cover the bases of standard stuff. Crate & Barrel registry cleared out the fastest.
Our dishes are from Not Neutral, and they are wonderful (the dishes and the staff)!

This is neat. I’m newly engaged too.
Awhile back I emailed you on rings.
Nice post :)

THANKYOU! I just got engaged two weeks ago and was just wondering about registries yesterday!!!!

yes! we registered at heath and just LOVE everything! another great registry is where people could give money as a gift toward a new home, your honeymoon, or anything else you decide on.

Wow! Public service is this! But…is there life outside the US? Do you know some other registries that also ship outside the States? I checked all of them and only Fitzu, Sur la table and Unica home do :(

amazon isn’t just good for books!! i registered with them, and was able to supplement my other registries with fun unique things i couldn’t find elsewhere. while i wanted to register at moss, but everything is just soooo expensive. so, amazon was just perfect to fill out the traditional pots and pans!
