OPEN HOUSE is my favorite home furnishings store in Philly. It’s a true gem in a growing area of Philadelphia just below Rittenhouse Square. They carry great home stuff from Angela Adams, Thomas Paul, Dwell, Wallbands, as well as great baby gear & bath items.

a shout out for Philly! Another great store in town is called P.A.D. and it is located at the corner of 2nd and Brown in Northern Liberties. I just checked to see if they had a website and couldn’t find one. I will have to tell them to put one up! The store is along the same lines as Open House, but more furniture and hand made stuff like baby blankets and such. It is also a little cheaper than open house I think.
Open House is indeed a great store – lots of variety, reasonable prices & friendly staff. I’ve gotten things big (the edo bed) and small (the coaster I’m using right now) there & always been happy with the products & service. Just a minor correction for anyone looking to swing by – Open House is on thirteenth street – so it is East of Rittenhouse Square not below it. This is Philly after all – not NY.
