praise be to lauren for passing this amazing site to me. home to the painfully gorgeous photography of french/japanese duo, pierre javelle and akiko ida, minimiam is a great collection of photography that you just have to check out. this is seriously the most insanely cool photography i’ve ever seen (aside from my dad’s, that is). [all photography by pierre javelle and akiko ida, all photos from their website]

I recently saw a photographer’s work just like this stuff at the Saualito, CA Art Festival this past weekend. Don’t remember her name though…

I’m sure Tina is refering to the same woman I saw at the Ann Arbor art fair a few years ago. I think she was based out of CA, but I can’t remember her name either. Her work is just like this.

wow, looks great. reminds me of an email I got around a year ago with toy soldiers in it (the email subject was to do with weapons of mass destruction or something).

I’ll definitely be sending this link around.

Chronicler I do this sorta thing as well. These are train set figurines go to a
Hobby shop and ull find some. Make sure to get the most expensive type since those are the most detailed. Any figure under five bucks is probably not detailed enough to make a nice photo!
