i found these guys through zach klein’s blog and am utterly impressed with their work. founded by three college freshman (patrick, jesse and bill), stuffed robot is the perfect example of what can be done with the right combination of talent and initiative.
a while back when jesse gave bill one of these robots as a gift, they decided that the little guys were so cool that maybe they should make some more and see if they could sell them. after dabbling in web design, the three friends set up a retail site to launch their new robot line. and now they’re making the rounds in the design world. i’m impressed not only by the uber cute designs, but the sheer fact that these guys proved that you can really start something great if you put your mind to it. if three talented kids from wake forest and rit can start a small design business, so can you. so, in the spirit of diy design (enter enter!)- here’s to stuffed robot, and all of you just waiting to turn your hobbies and weekend projects into design success stories.
editor’s note: damn damn damn! i’m too slow- i waited overnight to hear back from stuffed robot to fact check and gizmodo beat me to it! grrr…just kidding. just wanted to let you know that gizmodo posted on this too, you can see it here.

they certainly have very cute descriptions and backstories for each of the robots and other accessories.
wow, cool! finally. I was googling a year ago for stuffed robots for my son and didn’t find any! Now robots are the trendy thing. Even saw some robot tote bags somewhere.
I ordered the Angry Robot, When he arrives he will sit on my desk at work and discourage idle chatter in my office.
