while wandering around on design4design i came across brit design stars (to be?) modus. from the slums of somerset, this group houses some pretty cool designers and even cooler designs. a bit contract-y at times, but i found a few noteworthy pieces i would snap up if i had an office, or something sort of official-like to fill.

not to be missed: works by simon pengelly and michael sodeau who make furniture fun again (especially simon’s shopping cart-inspired wiro lounger)…

SHOP TILL YOU DROP [wiro lounger*simon pengelly] would definitely need a cushion, but would look tragically hip on a roof deck in the city

ORANGE YOU GLAD…[float sofa*modus] yeah, i’ll save you the rest of the cheesy title. cool sofa (i love the contrasting orange) that’s available in an L shape too…

PROUVE GAS STATION CHIC [low lounge chair*michael sodeau] modus’ version of those great chairs you always see in waiting rooms at car repair shops….but with a prouve chair twist…

STRIPEY REVAMPED [stripey cabinets*simon pengelly] love these low cabinets- i love when designers play around with heights….

CUBEY [cube side tables*modus furniture] cute ways to do the side table thing- perfect size for a cat to curl up in too- bonus!
